It might sound a little late, but as nobody commented that before, I think it makes sense…
In my first grand prix experience, I couldn’t buy entries for the race day (by early August, when I got it, the tickets were over for Sunday, so I bought it for Saturday), but as I was on vacation and my sister lives in São Paulo, I went there to stay eight days and visit the city… I’m from Salvador, Brazil’s third largest city, more than 1000 miles north of São Paulo…
Yes, the old and famous bumps are gone, the tarmac was almost perfect, apart from the ink spilled in the Senna S, that they managed to remove in time, but that explains the white-stained parts you must have seen…
I was at the M sector, at the end of the pit straight, in front of Super Aguri and Spyker garages, from where I could see the cars coming uphill from the “junção” through the straight and reduce to enter the ‘S’, from which I could see the first part…
The grandstands were great: covered, confortable, organized, but the food and beverages were expensive (R$ 4 – US$ 2 – for 355ml of beer, R$ 5 – R$ 2,5 for one hot dog) and far from good…
The view, from were I stood, was the best of the circuit, even better than the VIP area…
And, yes, It was amazing to see Massa faster than anybody else and, after grabbing the pole, do another lap slowly (since he wasn’t given the chequered flag the lap before) waving for the emotive crowd…
As for the final result, I think McLaren deserved to lose, and Hamilton unfortunely did the wrong thing at the wrong time two races in a row… he’s still a genius, but was almost as rookie, in the worst sense, as Kazuki when the japanese hit Williams’ mechanics…
I felt sorry for him, but still I was glad that Alonso didn’t get his third title… Kimi deserved to be champion, if not for the 2007 season or for the race, where Massa was clearly faster and slowed down to let him pass, for his whole career…
Obviously I’m planning to return for 2008 race, to buy it in time, dreaming to see Massa win his first title in front of his home crowd!

Do you know by the chance if there is any chance to get general admission tickets to F1 in Sao Paulo? I see that all the tickets are super expensive? Not sure why? Other places have lot less expensive tickets for general admission? Thanks a lot for the answer.

I´m a Brazillian McLaren Fan.
It´s the third time that I go to a Grand Prix.
The best place and the cheapest one is in G sector.
I could watch in details Hamilton´s error in C4.
In the place i was, i was able to see 70% of the track, a good spot.

Hello Voytek, Since I know all the tickets are general admission. You have to wakeup early if you want to get good sits. There are people who goes to the line just after the saturday race in order to get good sits on sunday.
This year I woke up 5h a.m. and the sit I stayed was suitable.
You can see all the info at the official website: http://www.gpbrasil.com.br ( Pay attention because http://www.gpbrasil.com isn´t the official site, you have to add “.br” after the link.)
I hope I helped you

I was in Brazilian GP in 2009. It was a very good experience, as my first and unforgetable one. I bought a ticket for sector A, in front of pit lane entry, at last corn, where the cars run more than 200 km/h, and where we can see 70% of the track, what only some circuits provide to the expectators. The track is very nice, and I The food is expensive and in a good quality.
