            That was the opinion of most fans though, Hence why the circuit was often called Magny-Bores by fans.

            It’s like Circuit De Catalunya, Because most of the corners are medium/high speed with only 1 hard braking zone (Into the Adelaide hairpin which was preceded by the most aero dependent corner on the circuit) overtaking was virtually impossible. They altered (And ruined) the final sector to try & create a 2nd good overtaking spot but that didn’t really work (Aside from Rubens on Trulli in 2004) & I recall most drivers disliked the changes.

            It’s a fun circuit to drive, It’s a fun circuit to watch cars been driven round but in terms of racing in the dry there usually wasn’t any.

               Those are the crucial factors for me.
               I don’t care about ‘exciting’ races on farcical tracks like Baku, or borderline farcical ones like Montreal (I have a talent for popular opinions, I know). I want challenging tracks that highlight the aesthetics and skill of driving a top-tier racecar through twisty, blind corners. I could hardly care less about the number of overtakes per race. In that respect, Magny Cours belongs to the same category as Suzuka, where overtakes are exceedingly rare, too.

      Well yes, but you would expect that. There is no competition on the design of an F2 car since it’s spec. That means the FIA designs it and they make it look how they want it to look.
      F1 is not a spec series, so teams are going to eke out every bit of advantage they can. So F1 cars will not look like the FIA wanted them to look if the rules give possibilities to create something worse looking, but offering more performance.

   There’s now way the drivers will get out of the car quickly enough when there is accident.
   The shield at Indycart is much better. Screw Seb getting dizzy.

   The new F2 car looks great. As with the ridiculous low wide front wing and tall narrow rear wings we had in F1 from ’09-’16, we’ll get used to the halo.
