Delays to the building of their first chassis meant the Marussia MR03 was the penultimate F1 car to make its debut in 2014. It did not hit the track until the third day of testing at Jerez in Spain.
The team switched from Cosworth to Ferrari engines during the winter but endured a series of technical problems during testing. By the end of the second test they had still covered less that 300 kilometres.
